THAI and Nok Air Sign an MOU for Codeshare Agreement Cooperation

 

 
Today (Tuesday 23 February 2010) Mr. Chokchai Panyayong, THAI Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development and Mr. Patee Sarasin , CEO of Nok Air signed a Memorandum Of Understanding on Codeshare Agreements following the Two-Brand Strategy. Mr. Pridi Boonsue, THAI Vice President, Alliance and Loyalty Management Department and Mr. Piya Yodmai, Chief Operating Officer of Nok Air, witnessed the ceremony for three domestic codeshare flights that take effect on 1 March 2010 onwards.   

Mr. Chokchai Panyayong, THAI Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, said that for customer satisfaction and benefits, for travel industry development and further national economic growth, THAI signed a Codeshare Agreement with Nok Air for three domestic destinations, effective 1 March 2010 with details as follows:

1. Roundtrip between Chiang Mai – Mae Hong Son 14 flights a week


2. Roundtrip between Don Mueang – Phitsanulok   14 flights a week


3. Roundtrip between Don Mueang – Ubon Ratchathani  14 flights a week


 
For Ubon Ratchathani, THAI remains the operation of one roundtrip daily flight to and from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, utilizing its own aircraft.  

The Codeshare Agreement enables THAI to sell tickets on Nok Air flight as if operated by THAI . International passengers, traveling to three destinations being Mae Hong Son, Phitsanulok and Ubon Ratchatani are able to purchase ticket through THAI.   
 
The Codeshare Agreement cooperation between THAI and Nok Air determines to create a positive image in the same standard of service with pre-planned schedule and aircraft fleet for future additional flights to serve customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the cooperation between the two airlines helps strengthen the service and competition in full-service, boost regional economy and support Thai tourism that benefits the national economy.  
 

In addition, passengers will continue to receive the same standards of service they previously received from THAI including the accrual of Royal Orchid Plus mileage. THAI is willing to facilitate the needs of passengers who purchase THAI tickets with confidence in Nok Air’s standards of service. Nok Air utilizes THAI aircraft in its operations based on the same aircraft maintenance and flight operational standards.
