THAI Announces Summer Schedule 2009

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited announced its flight schedules for Summer Traffic Programme 2009 on international routes effective 29 March –  24 October 2009.

Air Chief Marshal Narongsak Sangapong, THAI’s Senior Executive Vice President- Corporate Secretariat and Acting President, said that in the Summer Traffic Programme, THAI adjusted its schedules to meet seasonal demand. During this summer schedule, THAI will begin daily flights between Bangkok-Munich v.v. On regional flights, THAI will introduce direct services between Bangkok – Kuwait v.v., utilizing Airbus aircraft, operating five flights per week. Furthermore, THAI will add more flight frequencies between Bangkok - Dubai v.v. and Bangkok - Bangalore v.v. services and resume frequencies to Incheon, Taipei, Fukuoka, Pudong, Kansai, Beijing, Lahore and Guangzhou.

Bangkok – Kuwait v.v.                3 flights/ per week                          5 flights/ per week
Bangkok - Lahore  v.v.               3 flights/ per week                          4 flights/ per week


All domestic flights will operate to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport and cease operation at Don Mueang Airport as of 29 March 2009 onwards. This will provide passengers increased convenience and more flight frequencies and ease of connection between THAI’s domestic and international flights at THAI’s hub in Bangkok.
