THAI Smile Launches Flights to Luang Prabang
THAI Smile, a business unit of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), announced service to its new destination Luang Prabang, in the Laos People's Democratic Republic beginning on 15 December 2013.
Mr. Chokchai Panyayong, THAI’s Senior Executive Vice President of Commercial, said that in order to support the economy and tourism industry of Thailand and Laos, THAI Smile will launch direct flights, between Bangkok and Luang Prabang, whereby the inaugural flight will depart on 15 December 2013.
Luang Prabang has become popular with tourists for its ancient culture and relaxed lifestyle. Luang Prabang won the UNESCO award for “The Best Preserved City in South-East Asia” and registered as an World Heritage City. Luang Prabang has lots of old temples and colonial homes.
THAI Smile will operate four roundtrip flights per week from Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to Luang Prabang on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, operated with Airbus A320-200 aircraft.
THAI Smile is offering tickets to Luang Prabang at a special price to introduce its new destination on 15 December 2013 for roundtrip travel on the route Bangkok-Luang Prabang in Smile Class, with prices starting at 7,300 baht, including taxes and surcharges, whereby conditions may apply (taxes and surcharges vary depending on the foreign exchange rate on the date of ticket issuance), which may change without advance notice. The ticket has a validity date of 14 days, tickets cannot be used for travel during 27-31 December 2013, with limited number of special fare tickets available per flight and mileage accrual according to the Royal Orchid Plus frequent flyer program policy.
